ROYS, MRS. CATHERINE WREGE Bitely, MI Mrs. Catherine W. Roys, age 78, died Saturday, March 13, 2004. She was born in Ludington, on September 18, 1925 to Victor & Penny Ackersville Wrege and married Frederick Roys on November 18, 1946 at Ft. Custer, MI. Catherine received her Bachelors Degree from Western Normal College and had been employed as a School Teacher at Mona Shores Public Schools, until retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, while residing in Muskegon and then became a member of the Walkerville United Methodist Church, where she was the pianist and choir director. She was an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoyed watching birds and feeding the numerous wildlife including turkey and deer. Catherine also enjoyed her faithful canine companions. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Jerry Ann Roys of Greenville, MI and Michael Barbara Roys of Norton Shores; 2 grandchildren, Sara Roys and Erik Stacey Roys; 1 great granddaughter, Sophie Ann Roys; 2 sisters in law, Mina Wrege of Ludington and Betty Lou Wrege of Clio, MI; In laws, Pauline Wackernagel and Susan Lynn, both of Norton Shores; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Roys on August 20, 1994 and by 2 brothers, John and Wallace Wrege. Catherine welcomed death, as she longed to be reunited with her Fred. SERVICE Wednesday, March 17, 2004, 1:00 PM at Clock Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Tabor and Pastor Terry Talbert officiating. VISITATION Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
