Catherine "Kit" Rice

Mrs. Catherine 'Kit' Oliver Rice, age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011. She was born in Morenci, MI on May 4, 1927 to Samuel & Edith (MacBain) Oliver and married Jack Winston Rice on November 23, 1961. Mrs. Rice had been employed as a Teacher at Muskegon Public Schools for 33 years until retiring in 1982. She was a member of at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ and Women's Fellowship, PEO, Friends of the Library, Art Gallery, Muskegon Country Club, CAM Club (Couples Around Muskegon). SURVIVORS Nieces & nephews, Samuel Oliver, Ann Oliver Roys, Mary Oliver Huber, John Oliver, Timothy Oliver, Andrew Oliver, Cheryl Vanderstelt, Susan Daigle, Timothy Hall; special friend, Mary Jane Bard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2010; brothers, William Oliver, Halley Oliver; nephew, Steven Hall; and niece, Susan Oliver Potter. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, May 14, 2011, 3:00 PM and visitation 1 hour prior to service at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ with Rev. Tim VanderHaar officiating.
