Mr. Casimer "Casey" (Kusmierski) Kay passed away January 30, 2008 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon to Martin and Frances Kusmierski and was a life resident of the area. Mr. Kay was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph High School and 1966 graduate of New York Institute of Finance and was a registered representative/OSJ of FSC Securities Corp. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. where he served in the Korean War. Casey was a 50 year member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and had served at St. Michaels Catholic Church as an altar boy until he entered the USMC. He was a past member of St. Mary's Cemetery Board and Muskegon Catholic Central Credit Union. Casey was a member of the Polish Falcons, Catholic War Veterans, Ham (Amatuer) Radio Operator - N8YQA, and the American Legion Furniture City Post 258, Grand Rapids, MI. Casey is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, the former Angeline "Angie" Tapek; 5 children, Karen (Jay) Rinehart of Huntington, IN, Edward Kay, Kathy Kay, John Kay and Ann Marie (Michael) Walukonis; 15 grandchildren, Edward Kay II, Stacey Kay, Eric, Paulina, Matthew Pupek, Nicholas (Amanda) McNew, Brandon McNew, Michelle McNew, Jill and Jana Krueger, and Ben, Angie, Tony, Stan and Casey Walukonis. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Marcel Kusmierski and William and Stanley Kuczmera. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11AM Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. VISITATION will be from 5-8PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with the ROSARY prayed at 7PM. MEMORIALS can be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or St. Francis de Sales Church.
