Carolyn E Mcelroy

Mrs. Carolyn Elizabeth McElroy, age 89, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018. She was born in Lapeer, Michigan on January 7, 1929 to Carroll & Mary (Ferguson) Seelye and married William McElroy on August 23, 1950. Mrs. McElroy had been employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for Bronson Methodist Hospital while also being a preacher's wife. Carolyn was a member of Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene where she was also the choir director, a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed playing the trumpet & accordion. SURVIVORS Children, Mary (Thomas) Wright, William (Linda) McElroy Jr., Anna (James) Olson; grandchildren, Jordan (Desirae), Jeremy (Hanna), Joey, Micheal (Austyn), Katie (Jason) Chew; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter, Debra McElroy. SERVICE Friday, July 6, 2018, 6:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Aaron Gregory officiating.
