Smith, Mrs. Carole Ruth Twin Lake, Michigan Carole Ruth (Harris) Smith, age 86, passed away peaceful on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Carole was born in Peoria, IL on September 27, 1934 to Buel & Ruth (Damerel) Harris. Carole married Norman D Smith DDS on July 18, 1957 on the shores of Bear Lake in North Muskegon. The couple moved to Glenview IL where Norman ran his dental practice for 25 years. After graduating from Western Michigan University Carole was employed as a 1st grade teacher at Golf School in Morton Grove, IL. Carole enjoyed her horses; Margo and Marcy, dogs; Megan and Kelly. Carole loved being outdoors often enjoying the family cabin in Baldwin, Michigan. She Leaves behind: Sons; Bradley Dean (Amy) , David Buel, and Michael Norman (Suzanne). Grandsons: Zachary (Brianna) , Garrett , David, and Michael ; half sisters, Susan Gawera and Barb (Jeff) Scott. The family will forever be grateful to Lake Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Muskegon for the kindness and care they provided. SERVICE A future memorial service is planned.
