Short, Ms Carol Gertrude Twin Lake, Michigan Ms Carol Gertrude Short, age 81, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 25, 1937 to William & Ione (Griffin) Stanley. Carol graduated from Fremont High School and had worked as a cook at YMCA Camp Pinewood, helped at Fremont Schools cafeteria and other local restaurants. She also did in-home care and cleaned homes. Carol was a member of Lakewood Bible Church, Woman's auxiliary of Lakewood Bible Church and enjoyed activities with Life Circles, most important was her family and taking care of the kids. SURVIVORS Son, Alan(Janet) Short of Fremont, 3 daughters, Tina Dinaro of Twin Lake, Diane (Ernie) Nichols of Whitehall, Virginia Witham of Twin Lake; 2 Brothers, Alfred Stanley of Twin Lake, Dennis Stanley of Whitehall; sister, Agnes Crawford of FL; 8 grandchildren, Crystal Kaufman-Short, Holly Kaufman-Short, Jeff Witham, Jeremy Witham, Jennifer Witham, Alan Short Jr., Ryan Short, and Jason Short; 6 great-grandchildren, Collin, Isaiah, Mason, Leland, Julius, and Valena. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce; grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas and Angel; siblings Lloyd, Keith, Claudia and Ilene and various step-siblings.
