Carol Maryellen Richmond

Richmond, Mrs. Carol Maryellen Muskegon, Michigan Mrs. Carol Maryellen "Shuggie" Richmond, age 67, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She was born in Muskegon, MI on March 16, 1954 to Delmar & Joanne (Ozgowicz) Rhodea and married Joeseph Richmond on September 17, 1983. Carol had been in the banking industry for 41 years here in the Muskegon area where she enjoyed working with the community but most importantly, the fun she had with the "West Village Gang." She was a Muskegon High School graduate, a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Vikings Lodge. She had such a zest for life and had an unforgettable laugh that was contagious to all. Carol loved outdoor activities like traveling, boating and visiting her cottage. Carol also enjoyed going to the casino, playing euchre, and Yahtzee. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Shuggie's loved hosting everything from happy hours to breakfasts & dinners for her family as well as her daughter's friends whom she loved as well. You could always count on seeing her Christmas tree lit bright on November 1st as Christmas was her favorite holiday. Her love for family meant everything to her. SURVIVORS Husband, Joseph Richmond; daughter, Lindsey Richmond; dog, Chloe; siblings, Joseph (Lynn) Rhodea, Edward (Tanis) Rhodea, Janice (Paul) Trebilcock, Patricia (Paul) Kitchka; good friend, Mary (Bruce) Andregg. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Karen Kern. SERVICE Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
