Carma Catrease

Carma Catrease Cunningham, 52, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Carma was born March 6, 1972, the daughter of Randy and Carolyn Adams. Carma graduated from Muskegon Senior High class of 1991. Carma excelled in academics, and participated in several extracurricular activities, including track & field and cheerleading. After high school, Carma attended Boyd College, in West Palm Beach , Florida. Carma received her certificate as an Airline and Travel Business Professional.

In her youth, Carma was a faithful member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church. Carma was baptized in the name of Jesus, and tarried at the alter until the Holy Ghost came, because that is what they were taught to do at choir rehearsal. Even before becoming a member of Christ Temple, Carma was picked up by the Joy Bus, and transported to one of the local churches once a week.

She was her mother's first born and her mom often referred to her as "Just that!" Carma referred to herself as, "The Big Mommie." She was a loyal and dedicated big sister to her siblings, who respected and adored her. Ms. Carma was a strong, fun loving, vibrant, beautiful woman, who left her mark in the Muskegon community, and forever will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

SURVIVORS

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: parents, Randy and Carolyn Adams; five children, Quantrease Cunningham, Cortia French, Capriese Cunningham, Camarion Cunningham, and Cerenity Sorrells; 17 grandchildren, Faith "Lady Bug", Hope "Bumblebee," Jabriel, Demarious "Dutters," Dream, Destiney, D'Zire, Eric Jr., Emillia, A'Myrika, Shakir Jr., King, Amara, Malia, Aiden, Zyaire, and Chante; three sisters, Candee Cunningham, Cametria Cunningham, and Miranda Adams; two half-sisters, Carla and Kayla Nash; a host of nieces and nephews, including, Byron Cooper, Candice Martin-Cunningham, Kingston Adams, and Imara Cunningham "School Girl," and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Sammie Lee and Bessie Will Cunningham; granny, Mildred Adams; great-grandparents, Winston and Nellie Adams; two special aunts, Rosemary Ross, and Stephanie Cunningham; and uncles, Darwin McNeal and Paul Adams.

SERVICES

Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
