Carlyn Beth Johnson (nee Jesson), 62, of Kentwood, passed away August 31, 2023 following a long illness. Born March 23, 1961, Carlyn graduated with the class of 1979 from Mona Shore High School and received her BA in business from Ferris State. She was employed as a secretary both in Muskegon and the northern Virginia, where she worked for the U.S. Army at Fort Belvoir. She moved to Grand Rapids 16 years ago.
She is survived by her brother, Erik H. Jesson (Barbara Watters) of Grand Rapids; her sister, Kristin Jesson Bucci of Norton Shores; a nephew Matthew Bucci and niece Amanda Bucci of Norton Shores; and three cousins. Carlyn was predeceased by her parents Dr. Robert M. and Barbara B. Jesson and a sister, Signe Jesson of Norton Shores.
