Carlton Gurney Creswell, age 98, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 25, 1925 to William & Tressa (Manley) Creswell and served his country in the US Army Air Corp during WWII as a pilot flying B-17 Bombers. He married the former Patricia Halliburton on September 15, 1946 and she preceded him in death in 2012. Mr. Creswell had been employed as an Insurance Executive at the Johnson-Creswell Insurance Agency until retiring in 1997. He also was in the home construction business and did some import and export business too. In addition to all of that he continued to be a pilot and owned and leased several airplanes including a DC-3 used for vacation travel. Carlton was a member of the Vikings, a life member of the Muskegon Elks and enjoyed riding his bicycle on long road trips.

SURVIVORS

Daughter, Penelope (James) Moore; Son, Clay (Sandy) Creswell; daughter-in-law, Mary Creswell; grandchildren, Allison Moore, Andrew Moore, Ben Creswell, Daniel Creswell, Carla (James) Creswell, Adam Creswell, Kristin (Joel) Curry; numerous great-grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, a son Bradley, and siters Delores and Pauline.
