Carl Lipton

Mr. Carl A. Lipton, age 85, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 14, 1931 to Andrew and Flossie (Cline) Lipton and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Carolyn Venema on October 24, 1959. Carl was employed as a millwright for Sealed Power for 24 years until retiring. Carl loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Carls other love was football and he was very proud to have played for the Muskegon Big Reds all the years he attended Muskegon High School. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Son, Michael (Mary Ann) Lipton of Fruitport; daughters, Cheryl Lipton of Union Lake, Sally (Rob) Olsen of Fruitport; grandchildren, Melissa (Greg) Adams, Melanie (Bobby) Wendling, Luke and Mark Olsen; brother, Clyde (Fran) Lipton of Fruitport; sister, Sharon (Bill) Dunham of Fruitport; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn in 1989; sisters/brother-in-laws, Joyce (Lucille) Hair, Doris and Burt Dutkiewicz, and Vera (Babe) and Robert Sundin. SERVICE Saturday, December 17, 2016, 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Carlos Ramos officiating and Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. Interment in Fruitport Cemetery.
