Candace Barkel

Mrs. Candace M. Barkel, age 50, died Monday, April 11, 2011. She was born in Muskegon on March 8, 1961 to Francis & Ida (Zahrt) Spytma and married Richard Barkel. Mrs. Barkel had been employed as an Art Director at MasterTag. She was a loving soccer Mom and enjoyed vacations, but foremost was always her family. SURVIVORS Husband, Richard; son, LaVaughn L.C. VanBrocklin of Hesperia; daughters, Jenna VanBrocklin of Rothbury, Kinzie Barkel of Whitehall; brothers, William (Jean) Spytma of White Cloud, Robert (Marlene) Spytma of TX, Tim Spytma of Jackson, MI; sisters, Deborah (Walter) O'Neal, Lisa Chalko, both of Muskegon; mother-in-law, Joyce Barkel of Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank Jay Spytma; father-in-law, Paul Barkel. MEMORIAL GATHERING Thursday, April 14, 2011, 1-3 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon.
