HORSLEY, MR. C. LEE Muskegon Mr. C. Lee Horsley, age 95, beloved husband & devoted father, died on Wednesday, August 22, 2001. Born in Cedar Rapids, IA on November 17, 1905 to John J. & Anna Cawthron Horsley; he married the former Isabel Koenneman on September 29, 1935. He was an active member of Central United Methodist Church, for many years served as a volunteer teacher for Methodist churches, was a 27 year volunteer for the Michigan Jail Ministry Program & was an active member of Kiwanis. Lee was employed as Youth Director for the Muskegon YMCA from 1944 until retiring in 1971 & was former director of Camp Pendalouan. He lived his life following the camp moto: ''I'm Third'' God first, the other fellow second & myself third. Mr. Horsley had a great love of electronics, woodworking, hiking, camping, wildlife, music & gardening. SURVIVORS Wife, Isabel; daughters, Barbara A. Linton of Montague & Marilyn J. Nelson R. DeFord of Mesick; 7 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Alva Hughes. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, August 25, 2001, 2:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall R. Hansen & Rev. Greg Culver officiating. MEMORIAL: Muskegon Rescue Mission or Love, Inc.
