Byron Paul Routt, age 61, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was born on February 26, 1963, in Muskegon, MI, to Donald and Beverly (Bonifield) Routt. Byron dedicated many years to driving trucks for Pepsi Cola and also had a successful career as a CNC machine operator. He found joy in tending to his yard, restoring classic cars-particularly his beloved 1985 Olds Cutlass-and listening to classic rock music. Byron had a passion for playing video games and cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.

A natural storyteller, Byron was known for welcoming neighborhood children over for popsicles and tales. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special and loved hosting gatherings, whether for boxing matches, football games, or casual cookouts where he showcased his skills on the grill and shared his favorite recipes. Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented, he could fix almost anything and was always ready to assist friends and family with their projects. Byron's creativity and generosity will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Byron is survived by his partner of over 40 years, Dawn Beluzar; his daughter, Nicki (Jason) Carten; his son, Paul (Amanda) Routt; his grandchildren, Braidy Carten, Aidyn Carten, Mazyn Routt, and Jerzey Routt; his mother, Beverly (Jim) Gibson; his step-mother, Sandra Routt; his siblings, Connie (Greg) Hull, Dean (Laura) Routt, Brandon (Jana) Routt, Donielle (Aaron) Nichols, Jason (Cari) Tester, Debbie (Paul) Priest, sister-in-law Darcy (John) Hansen and many neices and nephews ; his dogs, Tazz and Derby; and his cats, Curly, Bear, and Stormy.
