Burton Keith "Burt" Shineldecker

Mr. Burton Keith "Burt" Shineldecker, age 70, passed away on Thursday morning, July 10, 2008 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1937 in Bitely, Michigan to Burton R. & Carrie (Torrey) Shineldecker. He had been a US Marine, and he had been a Metallurgical Engineer at Anaconda. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, the Eagles, and he was a life member of the Am Vets. He also attended Grant Wesleyan Church. Burt owned & operated with his wife Gerri both Wright's Sr. Carpet Cleaning, and the Letter People Sign Company. On March 7, 1981 he married Geraldine M. "Gerri" Green and she survives him along with 2 daughters: Angela Shineldecker of Alexandria, Virginia, Amanda (Allen) Gillespie of Grant; his adopted son, Mike Woudstra of Newaygo; 1 sister, Lois (Dennis) Roach of Muskegon; and his special pets, Bacardi & Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; by 2 brothers, Leon & Ray Shineldecker; and by 2 sisters, Pearl Keglovitz & Ruth Benigni. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Grant Wesleyan Church (688 W. 112th Street) with Pastor Jonathan White officiating. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont from 6-9 PM on Friday (today). Suggested Memorials: Hospice of Michigan - Newaygo County, or Hope Builders Ministries.
