Burke Henderson

Mr. Burke R. Henderson, age 92, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Traverse City. He was born in Ravenna, MI on June 15, 1916 to Ray & Jane (Burke) Henderson and served his country in the US Coast Guard Auxillary & the Michigan National Guard. He married the former Beatrice Lein who passed away in 1962. He would later marry Clara Groendal on July 27, 1964. Mr. Henderson had been employed as a Foreman at Clarke Floor Machine until retiring in 1975. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, as well as, working on autos. SURVIVORS Stepson, Doug (Bonnie) Katt of AZ; daughter-in-law, Deborah Henderson of Traverse City; grandchildren, Cameron Henderson, Kyle Henderson, Victor (Connie) Schamber, Kellie Schamber; brother, retired Lt. Col. Clayton (Pierette) Henderson of NM. He was preceded in death by first wife, Beatrice; 2nd wife, Clara; son, Mark Henderson in 2008; daughter, Burke Ann Schamber. SERVICE Per the family's request, no services will be held.
