Burgess, Jack L.

Mr. Jack L. Burgess, age 68, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born on April 27, 1938 in Muskegon to Howard and Lena (Jannenga) Burgess, and had resided in the area for most of his life. Jack was a US Air Force veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He then taught at Baker College for 30 years, retiring in 1996. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Shelly (Brian) Burgess-Delma of New Albany, OH, and Christine (Michael) Burgess-Marrell of Worthington, OH; 6 grandchildren, Tessa, Cody, Rory, Connor, Casey, and Chloe; 3 siblings, Dorothy, Jerry, and Pat; and The Black and VanderStelt families. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 1 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Eric Strattan officiating.
