Buford Amburgey

AMBURGEY, MR. BUFORD "BEAUT" Fruitport Mr. Buford "Beaut" Amburgey, age 83, died following a long battle with Alzheimers Tuesday, March 8, 2005. He was born in East Jordan, MI on October 9, 1921 to Wiley & Lelar Spencer Amburgey & married the former Alice Sturgeon in 1947. Mr. Amburgey served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had been employed as a machinist at Teledyne Continental for 33 years until retiring in 1981. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Amburgey enjoyed music, crossword puzzles & was an avid reader. SURVIVORS Wife, Alice; 1 daughter, Jackie Jim Wierengo of Norton Shores; 5 grandchildren, Jamie, Brian, Angela, Karrie & David Jr.; 4 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Audrey Amburgey; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, David in 1992, 3 brothers & 3 sisters. SERVICE Friday, March 11, 2005, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel - Fruitport with Pastor Al Hoksbergen officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 6-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Fruitport. MEMORIAL: Charity of Choice. Clock - Fruitport
