Mr. David B. Buckhalter, age 85, passed away Friday evening, October 6, 2006, in Muskegon. He was born May 28, 1921 in Flint, MI to Fredrick & Wanda (Gunther) Buckhalter and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. On June 6, 1944 he married the former Alice Freeman and she preceded him in death on August 24, 1983. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Walker and brother, Fred Buckhalter. SURVIVORS include 3 sons, David (Marge) Buckhalter, Jr. of Hart, MI, Ronald (Sue) Buckhalter of Twin Lake, and Daniel Buckhalter of Muskegon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 brother, George Buckhalter of California; 1 sister, Thelma Snowden of California; 1 step-sister, Dorothy Beal of Maryland; and by many nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be announced and held at a later date. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
