Bruce Neil Koster

Bruce Neil Koster, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 after a short, courageous battle with an aggressive cancer. He is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on September 26, 1950 to John G. and Betty Koster.

Bruce graduated from Spring Lake High School and then took on a lifelong vocation as a builder and contractor in the construction field. He was a partner of Koster Steigenga Construction for over 20 years. Bruce was an avid hunter, fisherman, and lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed countless trips to his hunting cabin in the Upper Peninsula. He also enjoyed working in his garden and the peace of living in the woods. He equally loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel, Spring Lake.

Bruce is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Lynn Koster, son Joe (Jennifer) Koster and grandchildren, A.J. and Camden of West Olive and daughter Cori (Mark) VanEpps and grandchildren, Madison and Riley of Spring Lake. He is also survived by a sister, Kay Brown of North Muskegon, sister in-law, Joni Koster of Spring Lake, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Koster and brothers, Jack Koster and Bob Koster.
