He was born April 4, 1925 in Holland, MI to Charles & Anna (Wierda) Bronson & married Evelyn Franks April 11, 1942 in Harlan, MI. Douglas was retired from Michigan Plastics & was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. His hobby was cutting, splitting & delivering wood. SURVIVORS wife, Evelyn; 8 children, James Bronson of Muskegon, Dale (Claudette) Bronson of Grand Haven, Cynthia (David) Leonard of Grand Haven, Dennis (Constance) Bronson of Ferrysburg, Douglas S. (Karen) Bronson, Jr. of Muskegon, Donald (Marcia Szymazyk) Bronson of Fruitport, David (Sandra) Bronson of Grand Haven, Jodi (Patrick) Bronson-Nims of Grand Rapids; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Bernard Stygstra; 1 sister, Leona Bakker. SERVICE Wednesday, July 5, 2006, 2:00 PM, at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Don Letson officiating.
