Brenda Bowen

Brenda, age 47, died November 13th at the home of her sister, Cheryl in Naples FL. She was born 7/12/60 in Muskegon and resided there most of her life. She was a graduate from Fruitport High and earned her LPN from Muskegon Community College. She had worked at Pizza Hut and Meals-On-Wheels along with doing private duty nursing and geriatrics. Brenda loved animals and comforting seniors who were alone. Brenda is survived by her Father, Robert Bowen, Sr. and wife Sally of North Muskegon; Mother, Carol Bruursema and husband Vern of Whitehall; brother, Robert Bowen, Jr. and wife Kay of Muskegon; sister, Cheryl Kobza (Bowen) and husband Craig of Naples, FL; half-sister, Jennifer Bowen of Detroit; step-brothers, Michael Torres of Grand Haven and Kevin Torres of Watervliet; four nephews: Daniel, Joshua and Andrew Kobza of Naples FL and Ronald Bowen, Jr. of Muskegon; three nieces: Kendra, Ashley and Kristina Kobza of Naples FL; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Bowen, Sr. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29th at 1:00pm at the New Life in Christ Church, 1451 E. Broadway.
