Ella N. Braaten, age 90, died Thursday, January 18, 2007. She was born in Stanmore, Alberta, Canada on November 6, 1916 to Emanuel & Emelia (Leischner) Siewert and married Iver Braaten on March 19, 1939 in Wyndmere, ND. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1993. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Muskegon Heights. SURVIVORS Daughters, Dee (Roger) Barber of Muskegon and Lenae (David) Sovacool of Chetek, WI; 4 grandchildren, Matthew (Becky) Barber, Nick (Heidi) Sovacool, Chris (Melissa) Barber, and Ben (Theresa) Sovacool; 5 great-grandchildren, Alexander Barber, Jacob, Sam, Rachel, and Nicholas Sovacool; 2 sisters, Elsa Lee of WA and Vera Cook of Muskegon; brother, Lawrence Siewert of Muskegon; and special friend, James Kepros of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. SERVICE Saturday, January 27, 2007, 2:00 PM at Seminole Shores Living Center with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. MEMORIAL: First Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
