Bobby Gifford

Mr. Bobby L. Gifford, age 78, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 12, 1934 to Francis & Florence (Stickney) Gifford and married the former Barbara Beardsley on June 25, 1955. Mr. Gifford had been employed as a machinist at Brunswick for 46 years until retiring. He was the Teamsters Local 1813 Union Steward for 21 years and a member of the Fruitport Eagles. Bobby's biggest enjoyments in life were time spent with family and friends along with gardening, fishing, and many weekends at the lake. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 57 years, Barbara; children, Debbie (David) Hanks of Muskegon, Rodney (Kathryn) Gifford of Whitehall, David Gifford of Muskegon, Timothy Gifford of Muskegon; grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan & Daniel Hanks, Rodney (Sara), Jason (Sharon), Kevin & Kaleigh Gifford; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Medema of FL, Maxine Riley of FL; brothers, Francis "Bud" (Bonneta) Gifford of Muskegon, Clarence (Lorna) Gifford of FL; several nieces & nephews; special friends, Keith Daniels, Rhonda Freiberg. He was proceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Gifford; brothers, Ralph & Wesley; sister, Kate Felker. SERVICE Friday, September 21, 2012, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Thursday, 6-8 PM and Friday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon.
