Bob Carvey, age 78, passed away Thursday evening, August 26, 2008 in his home. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April, 27, 1930 to Harold and Catherine (Barsema) Carvey and married Carol (Kotlewski) Carvey on August 24, 1957. Bob retired from Clifford Buck Construction, where he worked as an Operational Engineer for many years. SURVIVORS include his wife of 51 years, Carol Carvey; 3 children, Rob (Maxina Parks) Carvey of Portland, OR, Deb Carvey of Columbus, OH and Scott (Nancy) Carvey of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan, Shannon, Kayla, Tanner and Daniell; his sister, Eleanor Daniels and 2 brothers, Ken (Joyce) Carvey and Larry (Jan) Carvey. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Keim officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8PM Friday, August 29, 2008 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. MEMORIALS in Bob's name may be made to Harbor Hospice.
