Bettylou Ashburn-Risden

Betty Lou passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2025. Surrounded by her family. Betty Lou was born August 5th, 1935 to Carl E Carlson and Evelyn A Wilsey. Near Suttons Bay, Michigan. Betty has two sisters Charlotte J. Suzer of Lincoln, MT. Bonnie J Wahr; brother Charles E Carlson.

In 1955 she married Walter G Ashburn. They had two children; Daughter Lu Anne Mansfield of Battle Creek, Michigan. Son; Daniel C Ashburn of Reno Nevada.

Betty Lou married James F Risden around 55 yrs. He added two girls to the family. Alva Risden of WA. Debbie Redlon of Alabama. Wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren and 10 great great grand children.

Betty love to fish she loved her birds and she was a very artsy crafty Lady. Jim and Betty moved to Wellston, Michigan over 30 years ago. They made so many friends both were loved and will be Dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held for both Jim and Betty at the Faith Fellowship Church on June 7th in Irons Michigan at 11:00 a.m. at 1:00 will be laying them both to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City Michigan.
