WALKER, MRS. BETTY JANE Grand Haven Mrs. Betty J. Walker, age 79, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004. She was born in Manistique, MI on May 15, 1925 to Joseph & Gertrude Wolters Grosa. Mrs. Walker had been employed as a School Teacher at Hart Public Schools for 30 years until retiring in 1987. She was a member of Hart Congregational United Church of Christ, Hart Lions Club, Oceana Eagles, Pentwater Yacht Club, Hart American Legion Auxiliary & was active in the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Walker enjoyed traveling, sailing, biking and the "beach". She and her former husbands wintered in Gulf Shores, Alabama. SURVIVORS 3 sons, Joe Linda Klooster of Grand Rapids, John Elizabeth Klooster of Muskegon, James Synthia Klooster of Hart, MI; 1 daughter, Jan Larry Dean of Grand Haven, MI; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many very special nieces & nephews; 6 step-children & there families, Jackie & John Grebe of Petoskey, MI, Penny & Dale Harpe of CO, Dan & Carolyn Dan Buozis of Hart, MI, Janet & Travis Veine of Hart, MI, Bill & Lorraine Walker Jr. of Hart & Vicki & John Walker of IN. She was preceded in death by her first husband Joe Klooster, second husband, William Walker, 2 sisters, Evelyn Meyer & Ruth Rypstra. SERVICE A service was held on Sunday, August 29, 2004, 2:00 PM at Hart Congregational U.C.C with Rev. Lorraine Boucon officiating. MEMORIAL: Hospice of North Ottawa or American Cancer Society.
