Betty Jane Swiftney

SWIFTNEY, MRS. BETTY JANE Grand Haven Mrs. Betty J. Swiftney, age 83, of Grand Haven, died Monday, February 28, 2005 at Mercy General Hospital. She was born in Muskegon, MI on December 20, 1921 to Charles & Minnie Dickman Forrest and married Allen Swiftney on June 24, 1949 in Muskegon. Mrs. Swiftney had been a homemaker and also a payroll clerk at E.H. Sheldon for 10 years. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church. SURVIVORS Husband, Allen; son, Charles Allen Swiftney of Grand Haven; sister, Minerva "Pat" Alex Jozsa of Muskegon; a granddaughter, Anita Self of TN; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Swiftney was preceded in death by her brother Frank Forrest in 2004. SERVICE Friday, March 4, 2005, 1:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home, Grand Haven, with Rev. John Koedyker officiating. Interment at Spring Lake Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. MEMORIAL: American Cancer Society or Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
