Mrs. Betty Lee Silberman, age 84, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. She was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1930 to Thomas & Esther (Bowers) Fox and married Daniel Silberman on July 2, 1956. Mrs. Silberman had been employed as the Secretery for Mona Shores High School Choir for many years making 10 trips to Europe with the Choir. She also made an advance scouting trip to Brazil for the choir. Betty served as the stage manager for the Singing Christmas Tree and also for many Civic Opera and Muskegon Civic Theater shows. She was involved with Miss Muskegon and Miss Michigan pageants as well. Betty was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel and an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. She was a wonderful gourmet cook and enjoyed wintering in Jacksonville, Florida. SURVIVORS Husband of 59 years, Daniel; sons, Mark Silberman of Jacksonville & David Silberman of Muskegon grandchildren, Amy Gongalski, Jenni Silberman, Valerie Silberman & Stephanie Silberman; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Silberman in 1984. SERVICE Thursday, November 12, 2015, 7:00 pm at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rabbi Alan Alpert officiating. Interment in Plum Creek Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. VISITATION Thursday, November 12, 2015, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Clock Chapel - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Mona Shores High School Choir Fund.
