Betty Layton

Mrs. Betty Jane Layton, age 90, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was born in Ludington, MI on May 20, 1921 to William & Stella (Organ) Campbell and married Ray Layton on November 18, 1942. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mrs. Layton was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother whose family meant the world to her. SURVIVORS Daughter, Donita (Bill) Kelly; grandchildren, Adam, Mark, Tim & Brian Kelly; step children, David Layton, Janice (Jessica) Layton; sister, Juanita Nelson; niece, Roberta (Mike) Wibalda; special friend, Linda Noble. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray on March 10, 1999; sister, Delores Valenta; brother, Malcolm Laird. SERVICE Saturday, August 13, 2011, 2:30 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Fr. Anthony Pelak officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Mercy VNS & Hospice-Scolnik House.
