Betty Jordan Profile Photo

On Thursday, August 18, 2016, the Lord called Betty Ann Jordan home, where she is undoubtedly dancing among the clouds with other angels who have gone before her. Betty was born on January 12, 1928 to Earl & Althea (Hilderly) Smith in Big Rapids, Michigan. Betty married her love, Lambert "Bud" Jordan on October 4, 1946 and they had two daughters. Betty had a very full life and some of her favorite past-times included traveling, bowling, playing Bridge, going to concerts and working on puzzles with her best friend Wendy. She was a member of Mona Shores Baptist Church where she made some life-long friends. Betty will be remembered for her sense of humor, wit, sparkly yet fierce personality and the fact that she had a song for everything. SURVIVORS Betty is now celebrating her pain-free, eternal life in Heaven with her husband who went before her and her sister, Jean Carpenter. Those who are still on earth mourning her loss include her daughters, Cheryl Burns & Sue Tatomir, both of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Jordan (Christin) Burns & Jenna (Ken) Nance; great-grandchild, Summer Burns, as well as multiple in-laws, and many nieces & nephews. SERVICE Monday, August 22, 2016, 1:00 pm at Mona Shores Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Siefert and Rev. Andy Husmann officiating. Interment in Reeman Cemetery. MEMORIAL: American Heart Association or Mona Shores Baptist Church.
