Betty Jane Johnson

Betty J. Johnson, age 86, passed away into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Saturday November 18, 2023 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Betty was born March 9, 1937 in Muskegon, MI to Orville and Henrietta (Hughes) Johnson. Betty married Carl M. Johnson on August 6, 1955. They were married for 55 years. Carl preceded her in death on December 9, 2010. As well as grandson Kristoffer Rogers in July 1987.

She was a lifelong member of Central Assembly of God Church of Muskegon.

Betty enjoyed her family, camping, reading, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and hosting parties for family get togethers. She loved her monthly luncheons with her family and friends. She was a member of Muskegon Sand Dollar Doll Club and Questers. Over the years Betty worked at finance companies, banks, Postema Hdwe, Hughes Builders and Western Michigan Teen Challenge.

She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday December 10, 2023 at Central Assembly of God Church, 896 Home St. Muskegon 49442 with Pastor Jeff Haddon officiating.

The Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by dinner with the family. If you would like, wear pink, Betty's favorite color!

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Central Assembly of God Church, building fund or towards the cancer treatment for son-in-law, Jim Rogers.
