Betty Jean Hentschel, age 77, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024. She was born in Muskegon, MI on February 6, 1947 to Alfred & June (Corder) Cripe and married Daniel Hentschel on July 26, 1969. Betty graduated from Whitehall High School in 1965 and then went on to Muskegon Community College where she became a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Mrs. Hentschel had been employed as an LPN at Muskegon General Hospital for 29 years and then at Mercy Hospital for 8 years until retiring. She was a member of Fruitland Baptist Church, active in the Ladies Group and involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Betty truly loved taking care of people and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Husband , Daniel Hentschel; son Daniel (Teresa) Hentschel Jr., son Robert (Cheri) Hentschel, daughter Julie Nickerson; grandchildren, Samantha Downs, Kurtis (Keisha) Hentschel, Savannah Hentschel, Ashley (Daniel) Carlson, Rebecka Willard, Avley (Caitlyn) Haisel, Alec (Paige) Hentschel, Dean Hentschel, Rob Hentschel; 23 great grandchildren; Caleb, Haylee, Kyle, Knox, Annilese, Geo, McKenna, Soren, Torsten, Brantley, Grayson, Zoey, Molly, Nicholas, Archer, Bella, J.T., A.J., Madelyn, Simmion, Honey, Gracelyn, Kitan; siblings, Bonnie (Steve) Puls, Ben (Barbara) Cripe; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Scott Hentschel.

SERVICE

Friday, December 27, 2024, 11:00 AM at Clock Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Walter and Rev Ken Barno officiating. Interment in Egelston Township Cemetery.
