Betty Jean Dobberstein

Dobberstein, Mrs. Betty Jean Muskegon, Michigan Mrs. Betty Jean Dobberstein, age 95, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021. She was born in Muskegon, MI on November 15, 1925 to Fred & Lucille (Mulder) Kooi. Betty was married to LeRoy F. Studier until his death in 1964; she then married Kenneth W. Dobberstein until his death in 1998. Ms. Dobberstein had been employed as a Lab Technician for SD Warren for over 20 years until her retirement. Betty was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Sisters Singing Group. She enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo, reading, and all things Betty Boop. She also enjoyed the many activities that were organized by Vineyard Assisted Living. SURVIVORS Daughter, Susan VanderWiere; 3 Grandchildren, Jeffrey (Julie) VanderWiere, Kristin Garwick, and Ryan (Nick) Dove; 7 Great-grandchildren, Megan Dahlinger, Bryce and Jaden VanderWiere, Parker and Kinsleigh Garwick, and Amelia and Dominick Dove. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Lucille; Husbands, LeRoy F. Studier in 1964, Kenneth W. Dobberstein in 1998; Son, Ted LeRoy Studier in 2000 & daughter, Joan Studier in 2021. SERVICE Tuesday, April 20, 2021 1:00 PM at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior with Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating. Internment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
