DAMM, MRS. BETTY Norton Shores, MI Mrs. Betty S. Damm, age 82, died Wednesday, November 13, 2002. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 28, 1920 to Dennis & Elizabeth Lulofs Sikkenga & married Nelson E. Damm on October 18, 1941 in Muskegon, MI. Mrs. Damm was Valedictorian of the Muskegon Heights High School class of 1937 & was a 1941 graduate of the University of Michigan. She was a member of First Congregational Church, U of M Alumni Association, P.E.O., Hackley Hospital Circle, First Congregational Church Circle #15 & the Viking Lodge #57. Mrs. Damm loved to travel, golf, bowl & her card groups. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Chris Peggy Damm & Randy Karen Damm, both of Muskegon, MI; 3 daughters, Joyce Elizabeth Bailey & Nancy Spencer, both of CO & Betsy Gil Marlowe of FL; 8 grandchildren, Rachel, Sara, Lisa, Jon Leslie, Heidi Damm, Inga Carey, Jeff Melanie Bailey & Andrea Spencer; 4 great-grandchildren; Alex, Ashley Damm & Carl Magnuson & Alexander Bailey; 1 sister, Hazel Lewis of Lansing, MI; many nieces & nephews; special friend, Reba Owen & many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson E. on December 15, 1990; parents; son, Larry C. in 1973; brother, Jay Sikkenga; 2 sisters, Mildred Abrahamson & Eleanor Houze. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, November 15, 2002, 11:00 PM at First Congregational Church with Rev. Gary Lacy officiating. Enichement in the Columbarium at First Congregational Church.
