Betty Lue Cole

Cole, Mrs. Betty Lue Muskegon, Michigan Mrs. Betty Ruthie Mae Cole., age 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. She was born in Sunflower County, MS on October 3, 1941 to Curly B. Gordon and Easter Mae Pleas. Betty accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She was employed by the Hilton Hotel as a laundry aid for 3 years. Betty was a member of City of Love Ministries under the leadership of her grandson Pastor Kevin McCloud Jr. She was a graduated from Muskegon High School. She married Levi Cole Jr. and he preceded her in death. Betty was a woman of God, family oriented and was an independent person. She enjoyed sowing, cleaning, cooking, driving, reading the bible, attending church activities, and spending time with her children and great grandchildren. Betty leaves to cherish in memories her children, Patrice McCloud and Dennis Cole Sr.; brothers, John (Gloria) Gordon, Arthur (Annie) Gordon, Thomas Sam Jewell, David Jewell, James Jewell and Eric Jewell; four sisters, Laura Sue Thornton, Mary Sykes, Essie Downer, and Blondina Jewell; 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Cole Jr.; parents, Curley B. Gordon and Easter Mae Jewell; 19 siblings, grandson, Dennis Cole Jr.; stepdaughter, Vera Lee; and son-in- law, Kevin McCloud Sr. SERVICE A FUNERAL SERVICE for Betty will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 31, 2022, 12:00 noon at City of Love Ministries with Pastor Kevin McCloud Jr officiating. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
