Betty Cawein

Mrs. Betty J. Cawein, age 92, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 9, 1922 to William & Mary (Kopal) Blanchette and was a graduate of Muskegon High School class of 1941. Betty married Richard Cawein on February 9, 1946. She worked as a tab operator and programmer in various locations while stationed with her husband who was in the US Navy. Betty was a communicant of St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church. She was a member and past president of Muskegon County Garden Club who loved gardening and flower arranging of which she won many awards. SURVIVORS Sister-in-law, Glada Blanchette; nephew, Mark (Michelle) Blanchette, nieces, Gail (Bill) Barefoot, Dawn Scott; 7 grandnieces and nephews; 1 great grandnephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; brothers, Carl & Marshall Blanchette. SERVICE No services will be held. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers please give to the Alzheimer's Association.
