STEPHENS, MRS. BESSIE Muskegon, MI Mrs. Bessie Stephens, age 99, died Monday, March 11, 2002. She was born in Plymouth, England on March 3, 1903 to George & Bessie Langson Coad & married Stanley Stephens on July 4, 1924. Mrs. Stephens had been employed as a Custodian at Nelson Elementary School & Muskegon High School for 19 years until retiring in 1965 & was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church. SURVIVORS Son, Stanley Ann Stephens of Muskegon; daughter, Irene Morehouse of Muskegon; 8 grand- children; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Phyllis Ferry & Florence Barnard of Muskegon; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1936; son, Gerald in 1996; grandson, Gerald Morehouse in 2001; son-in-law, Lewis Morehouse in 1979 & by a brother, William. SERVICE Thursday, March 14, 2002, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Jerry Worrel officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
