Bertha Lee Hines

Bertha Lee Hines, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2008 at Brookhaven Medical Facility. She was born on October 9, 1918 in Widener, Arkansas to Cleveland and Novella Scruggs. Mrs. Hines was employed for thirty years by Hackley Hospital in Housekeeping until her retirement in 1987. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was a member of Christian Fellowship & Outreach C.O.T.L.G., Robert A. Melton, Jr. Pastor. She leaves cherished memories to her son, Jerry (Flordia) Lottie of Muskegon and Dolphus Hines of Detroit, MI, whom she helped raise; 2 granddaughters, Faye (Jeffery) Brown and Trynette Lottie Harps of Muskegon, MI; 3 great grandchildren, Jeffery Brown, Shelby Brown and Jordan Harps, all of Muskegon. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation of Mrs. Bertha Hines will convene on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm at Toombs Funeral Home located at 2108 Peck Street, Muskegon Hts., MI. The family will be present from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Services for Mrs. Bertha Hines will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 12:00pm at the Church of the Living God, C.W.F.F., located at 4249 S. Quarterline Rd., Fruitport, MI Bishop John M. Williams, Jr. Pastor. There will be a family hour available on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the church.
