GAUL, MRS. BERTHA JOHNSON Muskegon Mrs. Bertha Johnson Gaul, age 96, died Tuesday, October 23, 2001. She was born in Germany on February 14, 1905 to Edward & Amelia Garmeister Schweissinger. Mrs. Gaul married Oliver Johnson who preceded her in death in 1950. She then married Harry Gaul & he preceded her in death in 1973. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Lois Willard Nye of Muskegon & Shirley Donald Veldman of Twin Lake; 1 daughter-in-law, Virginia Johnson of Muskegon; 2 step-daughters, Gina Johnson & Rose Wolffis, both of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grand-children. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Doug Johnson in 1999, a stepdaughter, LaVerne Blount & by 2 sisters, Helen White & Freida Knapp. SERVICE Friday, October 26, 2001, 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Lassanske & Rev. Herbert Graupner officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the service at Trinity Lutheran Church. MEMORIAL: Trinity Lutheran Church.
