Mrs. Bernice Lottie Rucks, age 71, passed Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Mercy Health Partners Mercy Campus. She was a retired LPN at Hackley Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Rucks, Sr.; 5 daughters, Loretta Ross, Yolanda (Norman Johnson), Patricia (Kalvin Tippit), Karen Rucks, Kimberly (Derry Harris); 2 sons, Albert and Calvin Rucks, Jr.; 1 sister, Annie Harris; 3 brothers, Willie (Beatrice Smith), Wiley ( Ruby Smith) and Archie Smith and a special sister-in-law, Rachel; mother-in-law, Willia M. Smith; sister-in-law, Delores Knight; brother-in-law, David Rucks; step mother-in-law, Dori Rucks. Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 17, 12 noon, at Westside Grace Church, Pastor Russell Shepherd, officiating. Viewing begins Tuesday, September 16, from 2:00 until 5:00 pm. Visitation until 7:00 pm at Toombs Chapel. Interment is at Mona View.
