Bernard Joseph Steiner, age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Joe was born in Muskegon, MI on November 24, 1945 to Bernard & Sarah (Hubbell) Steiner Sr. and later raised by his step-mother Helen Feuerborn. He was in the 1964 class of Muskegon Catholic Central High School and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He married the former Diane Barr on May 17, 1968 and that union lasted for 29 years. Joe worked as a welder and fabricator for Porter Steel and Welding for over 30 years until retiring. He was a member of the Muskegon Eagles, Polish Union Hall, Lithuanian Club and the Knights of Columbus. Joe was also a long time member at Lincoln Golf Club and was a bowler on several leagues at Maple Lanes, Muskegon Lanes and the Eagles. Joe loved life and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed music, dancing and trout fishing in Baldwin. He loved playing Keno, liked playing cards with friends and ran cribbage tournaments on occasions. He was also a good cook and loved spending time with his family. Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
