PRIEBE, MR. BERNARD P. 'BERNIE' Muskegon Mr. Bernard P. Priebe, age 88, died Monday, September 26, 2005 after a short illness. He was born in Muskegon on April 12, 1917 to William & Rose Jestere Priebe and married the former Gertrude Engleright on February 14, 1941. Mr. Priebe had served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Africa & Italy. He then relocated to Crystal Valley, where he was the owner of Crystal Valley Tavern. In 1956, he returned to Muskegon and managed the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #668 for 38 years until retiring. He was a member of the VFW Post #3195, the Old News Boys, and enjoyed being the family practical joker, meeting people, gardening, and working in his yard. SURVIVORS Wife of 64 years, Gertrude; son, Kim Vanna Priebe of Fruitport; 2 daughters, Karen Dan Foote of Ludington, Linda Charles Meyers of Norton Shores; 6 grandchildren, Brad Priebe, Casey, Kelly & Kerry Foote, Chris Kelly Meyers, Scott Stacie Meyers; 5 great grandchildren, Cameron Nicole Priebe, Kendall, CJ, Hunter & Cole Meyers; sister, Delores Priebe; 2 brothers, Bill Florence Priebe, Stan Stella Priebe. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, John, Frank, Julius & Tom Priebe; 2 sisters, Irene Wilks, Blanche DeHorn. SERVICE Thursday, September 29, 2005, 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Fr. Joe Ashby officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 1-3 & 6-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: St. Paul's Episcopal Church or Charity of Choice. Clock - Muskegon
