Mr. Bernard E. "Bernie" Hosko, age 79, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at home. He was born in Muskegon Hts., MI on January 12, 1932 to George & Victoria (Goresch) Hosko and served his country in the US Army. Bernie married the former Dawn Neibarger on June 20, 1953. Mr. Hosko had been employed at S.D.Warren for years until retiring in 1995. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of Paperworker's Retirement Organization and the Knights of Columbus. Bernie was an avid fisherman who will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 57 years, Dawn; daughters, Diane (Gene) Masters of WI, Elizabeth (James Moore) Hosko of Spring Lake; son, Bernard "Bernie" Jr. (Joyce) Hosko of NJ; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Maryanne (Eugene) White of N. Muskegon, Marilyn (Jasper) Percy of Mecosta. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Hosko & sister, Carolyn Cerka. SERVICE Monday, May 16, 2011, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Norman Droski officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery with Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. VISITATION Sunday, 2-5 PM with Rosary Service at 4:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice or MHP-Johnson Cancer Center.
