Bernard Darga

DARGA, MR. BERNARD Fruitport Mr. Bernard Darga, age 92, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007. He was born in Posen, MI on March 25, 1915 to Frank & Rose (Vogt) Darga and married the former Theresa Idalski on January 2, 1942. Mr. Darga had been employed as a carpenter and later was employed with Yerington & Harris Construction. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake and loved to build things for just about everyone. He was a "wood splitter extraodinaire" who loved being outdoors. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Frederick (Nancy) Darga of Spring Lake, Jerry (Mary) Darga of Spring Lake; 2 daughters, Janice (Darwin) Spear of Grand Haven, Sharon (George) Denhof of Conklin; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister & 3 brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa in 1985; son Patrick in 1974; daughter, Shirley Ward in 2006 & son-in-law Richard Ward in 2006; 8 brothers & sisters. SERVICE Monday, April 2, 2007, 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church - Spring Lake with Fr. Leonard Sudlik officiating. Interment at Spring Lake Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 2-6 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Fruitport and Monday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
