Benson, Lois M.

Mrs. Lois M. Benson, age 78, entered eternal life on November 18, 2006. Much loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, is survived by her husband of 50 years, George; her children, Barbara (Andy) Terrien, Brian (Cheryl) Benson; two grandchildren, Ben & Julia Terrien; sister, Beth (Roger) Babcock; special friend, Donna Augustin and numerous other relatives and friends. Lois grew up on a farm outside Scottville, attended nursing school and while working as a LPN, she met her husband, George. Lois had a kind and giving heart and was a faithful visitor to shut-ins and to the nursing home. She was a long time member of White Lake Congregational UCC where she shared her love of children and gardening by teaching Sunday School and serving on numerous committees. She made multitudes of layettes, lap robes and care packages for the less fortunate. She loved sewing, music, cats and flowers. She was a thoughtful, supportive, loving wife and mother who will be deeply missed. SERVICE: Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at 11:00 AM, from White Lake Congregationbal UCC with the Rev. Keith N. Koebel and the Rev. Pam L. Koebel officiating. interment will be made in Oakhurst Cemetery - Whitehall. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday, 5-8PM, at Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall.
