Mr. Bennie Odell Briggs, age 83, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2007, at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12noon Thurs. Dec. 13, 2007, from Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Pearson officiating. Interment: Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Wed. from 4pm-9pm, at the funeral home. Mr. Briggs leaves to cherish his precious memory: A loving & devoted wife & companion, Cora T. Briggs of Muskegon Twp. ; 3 sons, Rubin (Doris) & Gregory (Sandra) Briggs of Muskegon and Arnold (Denise) Briggs of Monroe, LA; 6 daughters, Mildred (Terry) Hamilton, Frankie (Paul) Hopson & Colliss Marble all of Denver, CO, Burnita Briggs of San Antonio, TX, Debbie (Jimmy) Fox and Mary Moore of Muskegon; 1 brother, Jimmy (Dorothy) Briggs of Waldo, AR. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Lakiyia Briggs, other relatives including a special niece Vanessa Kitchen, Zion Baptist Church family & dearest friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Bennie Briggs, Jr and Charles Briggs, several brothers and sisters.
