Benjamin K. Meerman

MEERMAN, MR. BENJAMIN K. Fruitport Mr. Benjamin K. Meerman, age 85, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2001. He was born in Coopersville, MI on February 23, 1916 to William & Gertrude Knoper Meerman & married the former Deloris Shavalier in Indiana on May 11, 1946. Mr. Meerman served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had worked as a Machinist for Leigh Products for 36 years prior to his retirement in 1981. SURVIVORS 2 sons, John A. Meerman of Muskegon & William R. Joyce Meerman of Ravenna; 1 daughter, Debra David Jansiewicz of Fruitport; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, Joshua Brandon Fairfield, Carley Rae Brown & James Brown; a sister, Angeline Scharphorn of Allendale; 1 brother, Frank Gertrude Meerman of Coopersville as well as several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris in 1988; a son, Benjamin & by a brother, Hank. SERVICE Thursday, October 11, 2001, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Fruitport with Rev.
