Beatrice M. Vandonkelaar

VANDONKELAAR, MRS. BEATRICE M. Grand Haven Mrs. Beatrice Mae VanDonkelaar, age 82, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005. She was born on February 24, 1923, in Muskegon to Kenneth and Jennie Hoppie Thompson and married Adrian J. VanDonkelaar on April 20, 1940 in Muskegon. Mrs. VanDonkelaar had managed the Warren House Apartment Complex in Nashville, Tn. She was an active member at the Church of the Nazarene, Grand Haven. Other churches she had been a member of previously were, Pilgrim Holiness Church in Muskegon, Butternut Drive Wesleyan Church, Holland, and Lowell Wesleyan Church in Lowell. Mrs. VanDonkelaar had taught Sunday School in these churches for 45 years. SURVIVORS Her husband of 65 years Adrian, 2 sons, Adrian Denise VanDonkelaar of Littleton, CO; Rev. Roger Gladys VanDonkelaar of Burton, MI; 1 daughter, Sandra John Merritt of Spring Lake;10 grandchildren, Michael Dawn, Michelle Floyd, Mindy Travis, Melissa, Angie Derrick, Lisa Mike, Ron Katherine, Jessica Rob, Andrea, Rodney April; 14 great grandchildren, Andrew, Sara, Logan, Travis, Jacob, Jade, Tia, Adrianna, Nikki, Dax, Raven, Alexander, Caleb, Tiffany; 2 great great grandchildren, Cole and Codi; 1 sister, Joan Richard Peters of Twin Lake;1 brother, Edward Frieda Thompson of Grawn, MI; several nieces and nephews; special people, Jerry Paquin and Patricia Sailer. Mrs. VanDonkelaar was preceded in death by her parents, a son Ricky, her twin sister, Bernice Carr, and a brother Raymond. SERVICE Saturday, April 9, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Nazarene, Grand Haven with Pastor Gary Reiss officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery, Muskegon Heights, MI.
