Basil H. Ruhl

RUHL, MR. BASIL H. Norton Shores Mr. Basil H. Ruhl, age 72, died Wednesday, November 7, 2001. He was born in Palmyra, MI on May 17, 1929 to George W. & Gertrude L. Maloney Ruhl. Mr. Ruhl served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War & had been employed as the Manager at the Pontaluna Country Club Bar. He was an avid golfer & was especially proud that he had golfed with President Eisenhower & his son David while he was stationed in Puerto Rico at Ramey Field. He also had a musical group & played the drums at several clubs in the Western Michigan area. He was a 32nd degree Mason & was inducted into the Saladin Shrine Temple at the same time as President Ford. SURVIVORS 2 brothers, George L. Ruhl of Norton Shores & Neil R. Ruhl of Findley, OH; aunt, Carol E. Smith of Toledo, OH; cousin, Dana K. Slepsky of Dearborn, MI; several nieces & nephews.
